Nopalito Farm is owned & operated by the Brownwood Family. We run an 8 acre certified organic farm located near Escondido where we grow hops, avocados, lemons and other fruits and vegetables. We currently serve San Diego county's outstanding brewing industry and a number of excellent bars and restaurants. The name of our farm acts as a metaphor for our ethos. Like the nopal (prickly pear cactus), we've become adapted over the years to the arid climate of Southern California, and with water a constant uncertainty, we're adopting traditional methods for maximizing the precious amount of rain we receive. When life gives you cacti, make nopalitos!
